TRIPLE DROWNING TRAGEDY.
MOTHER AND TWO CHILDREN. Now Plymouth, Last Night. A triple drowning tragedy occurred at Oeo, in South Taranaki, this afternoon. The victims were M is. D. Zimmerman, aged about 40, and her two hoys, one aged three years and the other six months. The bodies of the hoys were found in the creek about a chain from the Zliinmerman’s farm house, and Mrs. Zimmerman’s body was discovered Hooting in a small dam 00 chains mvav.
Mr. Zimmerman, who had been share milking for Mr. Charles Muggridge, left the house at about 10 a.in. with his brother for Mnggridge’s other farm. On their return, the house was seen to be empty and there, was no sign of the mid-day meal having been prepared. The husband’s fears were aroused, he remembering previous statements by bis wife. A search was made immediately and the bodies of the children were found, cold, in the shallow water, vriidre there was evidence of a struggle for life. Pursuing their search, the men loniid the body of Mrs. Zimmerman in the dam used for driving the milking plant.
