MOTORING ACCIDENTS.

OAR (PALLS 300 FEET. Napier, December 29. A car containing Mr. Walter EdAA’in BrightAvell, a farmer of Taumarunui, his Avife, two daughters and three 1 sons, skidded and rolled 300 feet down a slope after colliding with another car on the Turangakumu hill. The scene of the accident is on the Napier-Taupo road. The accident occurred on Saturday morning. Mrs. BrightAvell suffered serious injuries and is in a grave condition in the Napier Hospital. •The daughters, aged four and 16 yealrs, are also in hsopital, but their injuries are not serious. Mr. Brightwell and the three sons A\ ? ero practically uninjured. CAR OVERTURNS. : MAN KILLED. Masterton, December 29. Mr. John Daniell Randle, a painter, of Roslyn, Dunedin, Avas killed instantly this morning at Greytown Avhen the ear he Avas driving overturned on the main road. The three other occupants of the car, Mr. Randle’s sister, Mrs. M. Edwards, her son Claude and Miss Alice Osbotrn, all of Gisborne, escaped Avith bruises and a severe shaking, but Avero admitted to the GreytoAvn Hospital. The car apparently struck a Ava-ter-table and turned, completely jivev on to the road, the hood being "crushed. Mr. Randle suffered terrible head injuries.
