AFTER FORTY YEARS.
ROMANCE AGAIN AT SIXTY.
A 60-year-old couple in England, who pay ted 40 years ago as 'boy and girl sweethearts after a tiff, and never met again until a few weeks ago, have renewed their romance by arranging, to get married. They are Mr. John Richmond and Miss Rachel Windhorst. They were found at Brighton choosing the furniture for their new home, and together they related the story of their romance meeting after so many years. “We parted,” said Mr. Richmond, “when we were both very young. We were engaged to be married, but Miss Windhurst was only 17 years of age, and knew we had to wait until she was 21 before we could settle down together. We lived in London at the time. > “Then came the quarrel. It was only over some trivial affair, but, as wo both possessed stubborn natures, neither would confess to being in the wrong. The result was that we drifted apart, though the engagement was never actually broken off.” Finally Miss iWindhurst’s family moved out of the district, and Mr. Richmond lost touch with her. Recently he decided to go to Brighton for a holiday. There he was introduced to some young people who ware travelling in the company of their aunt. “I was amazed to find that the aunt was none other, than my flan-
coc,” said Mr. Richmond. “I could hardly speak, and our joy at meeting again was mutual. So we have decided not to part again, and will be married as soon as possible.”
