' On 2nd January. —Usual 8 a.m. train is accelerated and leaves Foxton 8 a.m., Himatangi 8.16, arr. Palmerston North 9.10 a.m. Usual 4.15 p.m. PalmerstonFoxton train will be delayed, to leave Palmerston North 7.30 p.m. ■MARITON RACES, Ist & 2nd JANUARY.

On Ist’ and 2nd January, special cheap excursion tickets to Marton, available for return until 3rd January, avill be issued at Fox ton, Palmerston North, aaul intermediate stations, only by morning- trains. These trains connect with special race train leaving Palmerston 9.25 a.m. ' Return trains leave Marton 5.35 p.m. (Ist), 5.50 p.m. (2nd). .Connecting train for Fyxton leaves Palmerston North 7.0 p.m. on Ist and 7.30 p.m. on 2nd.
