During the 'Christinas holidays a. pleasant time was spent by local bowlers by way of a pairs toulrnament.

On Christmas Day -the tournament (sealed handicaps) resulted in a win for H. Hamer and John Ross (s), R-. Re ay and Thomson (s) being runners-up. On Boxing Day a similar tournament was conducted, the winners on this occasion being 'Scadden and Jus. Newtli (s), and the runners-up -T. -Reay and Thomson (s). MANSON AND BARK CUP. This afternoon a rink representing Manawatu Club, and consisting of Kershaw, Gerrand, Barnes a-nd Radford (s) visited Foxton for the purpose of trying conclusions with Thomson’s rink for the Manson and Barr Cup. The game is proceeding as we go to press.
