OBITUARY.

MR, FRANK PERKY.

Another old pioneer has passed away in the person of Mr. Frank r.Pery, whose death occurred at Palmerston North yesterday. The late Mir. Perry was'77 years of age, •and was a son of the late Mr, John > Perry, of New' Plymouth. He came from (Cornwall to New Plymouth with his parents 74 years ago, and when a young, man came to the Rangitikei district, where he wa3 employed on the farm of his late uncle, Mr. G. Lethbridge. About 50 years ago he was appointed manager of the late Sir James Prendergast’s 4000-acre property in Fitzherbert. When the property was subdivided twenty years later he took up a farm on his own account. Failing health necessitated his return to Palmerston North six- . teen years ago, where he has lived privately ever since. Mrs. Brown, of a sister of deceased.
