FOXTON RACECOURSE TRUSTEES.
ANNUAL MEETING,
The statutory annual .meeting of the Manawatu (Foxton) Racecourse Trustees was held in the Racing Club office this afternoon, presided over hv Mr ,J. Rehhell. The following is the Chairman’s annual report submitted and adopted _ “I have much pleasure in presenting the fifty-ninth annual report of the Manawatu (Foxton) Race Course Trustees. The Trustees have the honour to report that the credit at the Post. Office 'Savings Bank is £ll 6s 2d. The balance-sheet, vouchers and Bank pass book lie on the table, and are open to inspection. During the year under review I have to report that the racecourse lias been kept in a most satisfactory manner. The tracks aire all in good order, and reflect credit on the work of Mr Simpson, the 'dub’s caretaker. A contract lias just been let for .additions to the 'Stewards’ stand. This has been found necessary owing 1o the large number of visitors attending during, the race meeting. The floors of the publican’s booth and luncheon rooms are also being laid down, in concrete. It is pleasing to report, that the Club held a very successful meeting in January, the change of dates resulting in a larger number of horses attending. The Club is looking forward to another successful meeting next month. It is with deep regret that T have to record the deaths of the following members of the Club: Messrs G. Hopkins, Wi Eparaima and W. Wilton.
