TOWiN HALL.

The trials that face a young girl alone in a great city furnish the theme for “The 'Port of Missing Girls,” featured at tfie Town Hall Cabaret •on Friday. Barbara Bedford, as a young college girl, whose credulity leads her to make friendte with a handsome young 'man, played by Malcolm McGregor, who turns out to be a boot-legger, is particularly fine. McGregor, most fortunately, happens to be in love with Barbara, and, because he is a boot-legger, has access to the villain’s home. Thus, when Barbara has been missing for some time and her family is frantic with fear and suspense, Malcolm comies to the rescue. Unlike most would-be moral photoplays, this film has nothing of the maudlin in it. It is a clear presentation of some of the pitfalls which do exist in the large metropolises of the country. Almost any girl who has been thrown on her own in large cities, unprotected, luilohaperoned, will corroborate this story of one girl. Cabaret prices.

v The. motor-racing feature “Smashing Through,” will be Saturday’s feature at usual prices. Oil Monday and Tuesday two complete talking programmes will be present. On Monday “The Donovan Affair,” featuring Jack Holt will be screened and on Tuesday “The Younger Generation.”
