REVIEWS.

"Wlo have just received from the publishers, Messrs Hodder and Stoughton Ltd., four .novels which' we can recommend to our readers as interesting and entertaining fiction.

“The Female of The Species” is a full-length Bull-Dog Drummond novel by Sapper. A 'thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable tale in which the writer provides thrills in abundance. A tip top story which holds the interest from beginning to. end. “Queen Dick” by Alfred Tresiddeir Sheppard, is a novel away from the usual run of fiction. Interesting throughout it is a tale enwoven around the life of Richard Ciroimvell. Sheppard will be well remembered as ithe writer of “Here Comes an old Sailor,” which proved a very popular novel. His latest contribution is even better.

A. S. M. Hutchinson, the wellknown author of “If White] Comes” and “One Increasing Purpose,” etc., provides -excellent reading in his latest- book “The Uncertain Trumpet.” His latest -production will prove a good and popular seller. One of this best to date

.“.Jim theX'onquei'or” is Peter B. Kyne’s latest. The author tells a snappy, happy story of the Southwest and the folk of 'the open •range. A fine, attractive story with a strong appeal.
