A blue shark seven feet, in length was washed on to the beach outside the New Plymouth municipal baths on Monday. It is thought the shark, which was bruised, had been hurt on the reef and stranded as the tide went out.

Perhaps the most insidious parasite among English sheep is the stomach worm. Its principal symptom. is an appearance of dullness and lack of thrift, normally accompanied by scouring. Described by Mr. Justice MacGregor as probably the master mind of a gang of young men who jhad committed numerous crimes, mostly breaking and entering, in Taranaki, Leonard Edward Smith, aged 25, was found guilty on fourteen charges in the Supreme Court at New Plymouth yesterday. His case was one of many of similar eases which have occupied the courts throughout -the province on many occasions in the past few months. Sentence was deferred.
