WEDDING.

McGEE —LYON. A wedding of local interest was solemnised at All Saints’ Church, Foxton, on Thursday, when Doreen May, eldest daughter of Mr. T. McGee was married to James Charles Nieol, second son of Mrs. Lyon, of Tang’imoana., The Rev. Walton officiated.

The Vnide, who was accompanied by her father, wore a charming frock of green and fawn erepe-de-ehine with green hat while her beautiful show dr bouquet was of lemon roses, ranunculus, gerheroas, asparagus and maiden hair fern to u hieh gold horseshoes were attached. Miss Florence McGee, sister of the. bride, who was the only bridesmaid, was attractively froektd in lemon georgette with lemon and green hat. Her shower bouquet was of the same shade as the bride’s. As the bride left the church she was presented with a sil,yer horseshoe b.v little Miss Joap McGee, who wore a dainty frock of Lljue eirepe-de-ehine. An interesting feature of Ihe wedding was that there were present four generations, the bridegroom’s grandmother, his mother, his sister and his niece. After the ceremony the party proceeded to Fairey’s tearooms, which were beautifully decorated. The bride’s aunt, Mrs. T. L. Adams, who wore a black coat and hat over •a figured georgette frock and who carried a bouquet of red roses, received the guests, who numbered about forty. Among those present were Mrs. Lyon, mother of the bridegroom, fawn marocain and fawn hat with autumn tinted bouquet; Mrs. Gavey, grandmother of the bridegroom, bladk maSrocain and lavender bouquet; Mrs. Groon, of Palmerston North, figured crepe-de-chine; Mrs. iClaasen, lemon crepe-de-ehine;. Mrs. Aisher, aunt of the bride, black coat and hat ovelr blue figured voile; Miss M. Bower, navy and fawn jersey silk; Miss P. Claasen, navy coat and green hat; Miss C; Newdick, blue coat, and hat; Mrs. Boswell, navy coat and hat; Mrs. J. Croucher, of Palmerston North, blue rayon; Miss Marjory McGee, pink figured rayon.

The beautiful bouquets upon which many comments wore passed were made and presented by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. A. MeGhic, of Petone.
