BASKETBALL CLUB DANCE
SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL FUNCTION
The M (asonic Jlnll. presented a very attractive appearance on Thursday night on the occasion of the second'' dance held 'by the Basketball Club. The decorations were very artistic, including streamers, greenery, balloons, etc., and the centre (light Avas made to represent a goaled ball. The .attendance taxed the floor accommodation and included visitors from all parts of the district. Mesdames Penreau, Seabury and R. A. Easton /acted as chaperones. Air. M. E. Perreau officiated os M.C. and congratulated the Club on the success of its efforts. The music was supplied by the Alhambrian orchestra, of Levin. The dancing competitions Avere won as follows: — Alone (Carlo dance: Air. AI. Moifatt and Miss J. Stevenson; spot waltz; Afr. C. De Bidder and Aliss D. Beran; Monte Carlo dance: AH’. B. AlcCorkindale and Aliss S. Rankin.
A tasty supper-was served by the young ladies.
