MYSTERIOUS OUTBREA KS

Messrs Ross, Rough and Co. received word last night that their scutching shed at Te Puke had been destroyed by fire at about 5.30 p.m. yesterday. The cause of the outbreak is a mystery and following so quickly on a similar fire at the company’s Waivoa mill lends colour to the suspicion that .the outhrealki was the work of some incendiary. The Wairoa fire last week was the third occasion on which portion of the mill has been destroyed by; fire while the company suffered greatly from mysterious outbreaks at Te Puke some time
