ASSAULTING A LITTLE GIRL
: “A. SINISTER CASE.” Napier, .October 22. Aljobael Lipinski, alias Lepinski, alias Levenslri, a canvasser on commission for an Auckland art union, was sentenced by Mr. A. M. Arowlem, S.AL, this morning to one month’s imprisonment, on a. charge of assaulting a. little girl. Accused invited two girls, aged 12 years, into the botanical gardens, pursuaded them to sit down on the girass -and put his aims round them. Accused asked the girls to nneet. him again on a future occasion and said lie would have, brought fruit and lollies had lie known he would meet them. Accused’s counsel pleaded it was merely -a technical offence but the Alagistra te, remarking -that accused had a number of previous convictions, mostly for thef-t, thought the present case bore a sinister aspect.
