MANAWATU TENNIS ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association was held at Palmerston North on Wednesday evening, Mr. iC; T. Salmon being voted to the. chair. Delegates were present 'from Palmelrston North, Talkiaro, Manawatu, Terrace End, Foxton and Northern Clubs. The election of officers resulted :—President: Mr. H. N. Watson; vice-presidents: Doctors E. ;C. Barnett (P.N.) and Thompson (Levin); secretary and 'treasurer: Mr. D. I. Robertson; auditor: Mi-. R. H. Spencer; management committee: Messrs Ralfe (Bulls), C. Yates (P.N.); G. 'Collinson (Manawatu), C. T. Salmon (P.N.), R. McMurray (Foxton), S. T. Standard (Northern), T. B. .Worrall (Manawatu); delegates to New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs €'. T. Salmon and H. J. Thompson, vicepresident to N.Z.L.T.A., Mr. T'. Atmorc; selectors, Messrs H. N. Watson, A. W|. Thompson and F. McLaehlan.
It was decided to open the Manawatu ranking ladder on November
The secretary stated that there was a possibility that the championship dates for Manawatu and Taranaki might clash and explained that he had written to the N.Z.L.T.A., asking that Manawatu be allotted its usual dates of January 6,7, 8 and 9. It was left in the
• hands of Messrs Salmon and Robertson to carry the matter further with the N.Z.L.T.A.
