On tlie 18tli September a boy named Mervyn Hood, aged 15 years, disappeared from his home at 30 Coiling'wood Street, Wanganui Bast and has not been heard of since, except for the tact that an employee on the main highway between Turakina and .Balls saw a lad answering his /description walking, along the road and travelling in the direction of Bulls the following day. The lad’s description is as follows.:—Height;''sft. 2iii.; blim build, sallow complexion, dark hair, brown byes, two teeth missing- from front upped jaw. At the time of his disappearance he was dressed in navy (blue short pants, blue cardigan, black shoes, black stockings, with ■ whites rings around the tops and waterproof hat and coat. If anyone _ sees a lad answering the above description about, they are asked to communicate with Constable Owen in otrder that be may get in touch with the boy’s parents.
