CONFIRMATION

Plrior to confirmation Archbishop O’Shee, in a short sermon, lucidly explained the doctrine of the church on the sacrament which lie was about to administer and after appropriately addressing the children lie made an eloquent appeal to the people to fulfil the sacred tirust which lin'd been reposed in them as parents. Tie spoke at length upon the temptations and dangers which beset the youth of to-day and the, apparent disposition of many adults to treat, lightly their natural obligations as guardian's of the souls as well as the bodies of their children, and he exhorted them to rear their charges in a proper Christian manner and to strengthen precept by good example in their daily lives.
