SPRING BLOOMS.

GOOD EXHIBITION AT TOWN HALL.

The spring exhibition of blooms in connection with the Foxton Horticultural Society was opened in the Town Hall this afternoon. Despite the fact that the weather recently has not been of the best for bulb culture, some very line blooms are on display. Entries total 241. The exhibition was opened by the Mayor (Mr. M. E. Perreau) and there was a good attendance during the afternoon session. Mr. Perreau congratulated the Society on its (fine display and also the growers on their fine blooms. The Society was doing a good wofrk in the town and lie hoped that success would still attend its exhibitions in the future.

This evening arrangements have been mlade for a children’s elocutionary competition and musical items.

The show is well worth a visit and should attract a large attendance this evening.
