Siir Joseph Ward (Prime Minister) is confined to his bed with a mild attack of influenza.
Captain and 'Mrs. Mat.heson, of the local (Salvation Army, have received notice from National headquarters of their promotion to the rank of Ensign. The many Foxton friends of the Rev. G. K. Aitken will regret to leai’ii that he has been seriously ill at his,home at Sumner. The latest reports are that his condition is improving.
At last night’s Borough Council meeting a letter was received from 'Mrs. Lucinsky thanking the Council for its expression of sympathy in her husband’s illness and stating that lie was now well on the road to recovery.
