PRESBYTERIAN LADIES' GUILD

Mrs. Nicholas entertained members and friends of the Guild on Wednesday last at the Manse. There was a splendid attendance. Arrangements were made for the forthcoming sale afternoon which is to be held in the Town Hall supperroom on Wednesday, September 25th, at 2.30 p.m. Two interesting and novel competitions, which caused much amusement, were won by Mrs. Barron and Mrs. J. Thomson. A dainty afternoon tea was dispensed hv the hostess and willing helpers. Before dispersing, Mrs. Perreau, vice-presi-dent, moved a vote of thanks to the hostess for the enjoyable afternoon provided, which was - carried with applause.
