Elaborate preparations are being made in Edinburgh for the celebration of the union of the lOhnrch of Scotland and the United Free Church. The celebrations will commence’on September 30 and end on October 5.
Thousands of Scots from all paa-ts of Britain and hundreds from the United States and the Dominions will witness the ceremony marking: the end of the great disruption of 1843, when 470 ministers seceded from the Established Church and founded the Free Church.
