'Captain Holm was a visitor to Foxton to-day.

•Mrs. I. Ross is at present spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. John Ross, of Tliynne Street. Mr. and Mrs. A. C, Baker, of Palmerston North, are at present spending a holiday with Mrs. Bakei-, of Union Street. Miss M. Barber, who is engaged in the nursing profession in Auckland, is spending a holidav with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. \Y. E. Barber, of Motuiti.

Mr. W. Kirkland, of Foxton, is at present in Greyniouth where he attended the Dominion Licensed Victuallers’ Association conference ■yesterday as a district delegate.

M]r. ,T. L. Christie, accompanied by Mrs. 'Christie, returned to Foxton yesterday, where they will again take up their residence. Mr. Christie has been compelled to relinquish his position in Auckland through health reasons, and is at present connected with Mg. Harold Osborne’s business.
