A correspondent [writes as follows to the Wjaipukurau paper;— “Dancing as an evening’s enjoyment is much appreciated by tf good many young folk. When there is a good gathering of young men and iboys who attend these, dances a happy time is enjoyed by all. Through liquor being too easily obtained there are a good many boys, under 21, who enjoy themselves between the dances, and when the supplies (run out it causes disturbances, and it usually ends up in a free tight, and the sober boys, with any respect for the girls do the right thing by taking them home. • • • There is no reason why dancing in Waipukurau should not be enjoyed by all if a, man had power to stop the drinking of liquor.”:
