TOWN HALL.
Quite one of the brightest and most entertaining films seen for a long while is the British Dominions film—Mademoiselle ParleyVoo,” a featured attraction at the Town Hall Cabaret on Friday. This picture is the sequel to the earlier production, “Mademoiselle F!rom Armentieres,” and tells the adventurous story of the gay Mam’selle after the war. Many of the characters seen in the first picture again portray their respective roles, and Estelle Brody is as attractive as ever in the part she has made her own. In her new role she is a sprightly little musical comedy star, who, with her husband, John, runs a revue show in the provinces, which fails to attract the public. They are about to close down when matters are further complicated by the theft during a performance of a valuable ruby belonging to an Indian Rajah. Scotland Yard sends a man down, who, posing as a theatrical ftgent, arranges with Mademoiselle to continue the show with the leading man. The plot arouses John’s jealousy,’ and results in the murder of the detective; but 'the jewel is discovered by a fortunate chance, and the thief and umirderer are secured under dramatic circumstances. Usual Cabaret prices.
Law is completely vindicated in the clash between it and the “Dr. Jdkiyll and Mr. Ilyde” characters in the Fox production “Blindfold,” coming to the Towk Hall on Saturday. Lois Moran and George O’Brien handle the chief roles, with a large east, in support. The story -was written by Charles Coe, author of “Me, Gangster” and *Tlie River Pirate.”
