A CENTENARIAN CLUB
AVOID EXCESSES
London, August 24
Five hundred Londoners have formed a (Centenarian Club. They are pledged by example and precept to further the cause enabling rwervoiie to become centenarians.
The club’s researches shoiv that there are about 36 men and 109 Avomen centenarians in England and Scotland, and 42 men, and' 74 women in the Irish Free State. The society’s motto is: “Avoid Excesses.”
The founders are convinced that a generous expansion of the present average span of life is possible. If one eats sparingly of all good foods, limits alcohol, smokes reasonably and sleeps eight hours, then there is every reason to believe that (me will not only reach a century, but also Avill become able-minded, clear-thinkiiig- centenarians.
