SEQUEL TO VINDICTIVE EXPLOSION.

VRugby, August 16. Lieutenant Simon Borett, of His Majesty’s ship Vindictive, was disniised his skip and severely reprimanded by a court-martial at Chatham as the result of an explosion in the Vindictive at iChatham on July 23 by which an engineroom artificer was fatally injured and -two stokers were hurt. He was found fuilty of neglect of duty in allowing the fuse of a bomb to be supplied and sectioned without properly ascertaining whether it was safe or dangerous to be cut up.
