ALARMING WANDERER.

New Plymouth, Yesterdya. The man who has roamed the Okeke district for the past fortnight, causing alarm amongst the residents, was arrested without trouble yesterday, after a long search by Constable Mills and settlers. He had slept on Wednesday night in a shed on the property of Mr. W. Hardgtraves. The settler gave him breakfast yesterday morning, and he accepted work on the property. Constable Mills was reformed, and took the man in charge without difficulty. ‘The slasher which he carried, it is said, had been left back in the hills. The man was known in the district as Johnson, but it is doubtful if that is his correct name. He will appear in the New Plymouth Court to-day.
