AH. S. G> Corbett, of Hawera, is on a holiday visit to this sister, Airs. W. S. Heyes, of Foxton.
It is understood that the Salvation Army Commissioner, John .Cunningham, foirnijerly international secretary for Europe and the Dominions, will succeed Commissioner Hay, New Zealand. It is reported that Commissioner Hay will take charge of Eastern Canada. After a long and severe illness, Aliss Georgina Foss, sister of Mr. R. J. Foss, headmaster of the Levin District High School, passed away at Afastdrton on Thursday, at the age of 59 years. The deceased lady, who was born in the Old Country, resided for many years in the Wairarapa district. About seven years ago shfe came to Levin with Air. and Mrs. Foss, remaining for some six months and being a member of 'St- Mary’s Choir. The last four heir life were mostly spent in hospital, and the end came as a release from much suffering patiently borne. Mr. Foss left yesterday for Alasteirton, where the funeral takes place this afternoop.
