AN EFFECTIVE INTERJECTION.
A timely interjection by a le-gally-minded member of the Foxtoil Racing Club at last night's meeting effectively quietened one member, for the time being at least, in his persistent interruption of the ■business of the meeting. The member concerned desired that the usual custom of the committee electug officials should be terminated and that the annual meeting should make such appointments. “We used to do that years ago,” he said, “but since a few of these \ onager members have been appointed stewards ■ “The Club has shown a profit!” cut in the disciple of Blacks!one and Coke, amidst much laughter.
