FATAL FOOTBALL ACCIDENT

Palmerston N., July 22. Following an injury received at football, the death of Colin, the only son of Mr. and' Mrs. J. Oswald Telford, of Fitzberbert Avenue, occurred 'in the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday. Thie hoy received a minor injury to. his foot while playing football last Saturday week which was not considered serious until last Tuesday. His condition then became wotse, and on Thursday he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. His condition grew steadily worse in spite of two operations, and he died last night, suffering from blood poisoning following the infection of the bones of the leg. He was 16 years of age.
