STEAD’S REVIEW.

Stead’s review for July is an interesting collection of readable and informative matter. In addition to its monthly article on “Australian Politics” by the particularly wellposted F. W. Eggleston, it includes contributions from authoritative writers on subjects to suit all tastes and to satisfy many opinions. “The Spirit of Sydney” is an excellent analytical consideration. F. Alexander, provides a summary of •the late developments at the Vatican and the relationship of the Pope and Mussolini. Other writers are Atlela Pankhurst who contributes an instalment. of her life’s work; Thomas Walsh with an article on ‘‘Communism and Australia’s Future,” etc. The important matter of “Motherhood Endowment” is also dealt with etc. “Stead’s” wellknown standard pages complete an excellent publication.
