CANCER MENACE.
£200,000 HOSPITAL DRIVE. Chicago, July 12. Djr. Karl Meyer and other physicians of the City Hospital staff are asking the County Board to submit a bond issue of 1,000,000 dollars (£200,000) for the erection of an exclusive cancer hospital. MOancer is the greatest problem for the medical profession to-day,” said iDr. Meyer. “It as steadily increasing while fatalities in every other disease are decreasing. One woman in every eight and one man ir. every 12, after the age of 35, now die of cancer.”
