DEMAND FOR ELECTRICITY.
ANALYSIS OF CONNECTED LOAD. The Horowhenua Power Board received from the Engineer (Air. J. A. Smith), on Tuesday, an analysis of the connected electrical load to July lltli, 1929, giving the following totals for the Board’s district : !k.w. Lighting 10G2 No. Tl. h.p. Industrial motors 331 2849 .Milking motors 424 614 k.w. Heating and iron points 2978 2161 Ranges 390 2453 Winter heaters 648 409 No. of consumers— Connected 3031 Applications 3067 Total connected k.w. 8671 INSTALLATIONS AND EXTENSION'S. The engineer also reported that, clulring the period since the last Board meeting, 15 applications from new consumers and 30 applications for extensions to existing installations had 'been received, comprising four ranges, 10 waterhen tors, seven milking and separating motors, one industrial and two pumping -motors. Thirteen new consumers had been connected, including eight ranges, six water-heaters and two industrial motors, also extensions including two industrial motors, one milking motor and one water-heater, making a total increase of 62.175 k.w.
