MANAWATU HERD-TESTING ASSOCIATION.
• * MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the Manawatu Herd Testing Association was held on Thursday. Theire were present Messrs W. H. Gimblett (in the chair), F. Woods, A. Montgomerie, W. S. Fell, F. Legg, A. Hardbam, R. Evans, and F. W. Mills. Mr. J. Ferguson, the retiring searetary and Mr. T. Page who will replace him, were also in attendance.
The meeting went into committee to discuss charges for calf-mark-ing and it was eventually decided that no alteration in the present charges he made in the meantime. The matter of taking legal action for the recovery of outstanding testing' accounts was also considered in committee) and it was decided to defer action until next meeting. A letter was received from the Levin Co-op. Dairy Coy., asking for particulars of the work of the Manawatu Association. The secretary stated that he ln\l forwarded the required particulars. Accounts totalling £124 18s 3d were passed for payment. After some discussion, it was decided unanimously to charge a flat rate of 4/G per cow for the coming season.
