Curious plaices have .occasionally 'been selected for baptismal ceremonies in Auckland, but probably none was stranger than that chosen by the parents of two girls who were baptised on the German cruiser Einiden on Tuesday. One child .was four years old and the other an 'infant in arms. The service w as conducted by Chaplain Ronneberger, of the cruiser, accoirding to the rites of the German Protestant Church.
