FOXTON-LEVIN ROAD BLOCKED.

FIVE FEET OF WATER OVER HIGHWAY.

The Foxton-Levin road which has been blocked to traffic for some days is reported to have five feet- of water over it between the Government Drain and the Whirokino Bridge. Messrs Burr, Spring and Whitlow’s farms are inundated and all stock has been removed from the area. A good deal of water is again lying about the Moutoa, in places reaching to the edge of the highway, 'hut it is not anticipated that this road will be blocked to traffic. The Oroiia. Rivelr is running hank high and the Manawatu is carrying a. great deal of water. The Mafakarapa swamp, across the rivelr, is full of water.
