THE BASKET BALL CLUB DANCE.
HUGE SUCCESS. The 'F .xton Basket Ball Club is to be congratulated on the success of their dance which was held in the Masonic Hall on Thursday evening. The hall, which was very artistically decorated with coloured streamers, balloons and greenery, reflected great 'credit on the committee which had ehairge of the dance. Various novelties introduced by the Committee added greatly to the enjoyment, of all concerned. Mr,-. M. E. Pen-can acted as M.C., and* the chaperons were Mesdaimes Perreau and Christie, apologies being received from Mesdames S. Austin and Patiehett. An excellent supper was provided and dancing was indulged in until a late hour. All present proclaimed the dance the success of the year. iNovelties dances were won as follows: — Monte Carlo: Mr. and Mrs. Burdes; spot waltz: Miss 'T. Better and Mr. G. Woods and Miss Y. Easton and Mr. M. Robinson.
