WEDDINGS.

SYMONS —'WILLIAMS. Holy Trinity Church, Picton, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Alias Agnes AL X.. Williams, eldest daughter of A£rs. and the late John Trengove Williams, was united in matrimony to Air. Chas. H. Symons, of Foxton. The service was choral and was conducted by the Bov. Canon A. J. Carr, whilst Aliss Fuller presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mi'. H. W. J. Williams, and woire a beautiful French model frock of beige and orchid georgette with pretty veil to match and carried a white prayer boolk. .She was attended by her sister, Aliss Hester Williams, who wore a pretty brown crepe-de-ehene frock and carried a bouquet of hdrangeas and autumn leaves, while Misses Lucy Williams aud Alary Aubry, nieces of the bride, were dressed alike in pale green crepe-de-ehene frocks, trimmed with gold, and hats to tone. They both carried beautiful posies of autumn tinted leaves and japoniea. The ibtridegroom was attended by Air. W. Walker, as best man, and Air. J. T. Williams as groomsman. After the' ceremony the guests were entertained at a small reception at the Kiosk, where the usual toasts were honoured. The bride’s mother wore a pretty black silk morocain with coat and hat to match, both being trimmed with oriental black and gold lace. Mirs. Frankland (Wellington), wore a charming black malrquisette frock with touches of helio and hat to tone. Atrs. AY Toogood wore a pretty black frock and coat relieved with autumn tints. A large number of congratulatory telegrams were received and later Air. and Aljrs. Symons left for a short tour in the south and on their re-y turn will talke up their residence in Foxton.

A wedding of local interest was ' quietly celebrated in All Saints’ Church by Rev. W. H. Walton on Saturday evening, when Maisie, eldest daughter of AH*, and Mrs. L. AlcCarthy, of Union Street, Foxton, /. was united to Edward, eldest son' of Air. and AUs. Frederick Robinson, of Coley Street, Foxton.
