CONCESSIONS TO USERS OF ELECTRIC CURRENT.
* LIGHTING ON LARGE 'SCALE AT A REDUCTION. MILKING POWER RATE MADE EASIER FOR, SMALL USERS. The Horowhenua Power Board, on Tuesday, on the recommendation of a special comlmittee, decided that the new lighting rate for the Railway Department and other large 'Consumers be as follows: — First 150 units per month, 8d per unit ; second 150, 6d; all over 300 units, sd. These charges are to be effective as from the beginning of the present financial year. The previous rate was 8d per unit for the [first 150 units per month and 6d per unit for all in excess of 150. A concession was also made to users of milking motors, in the following terms: —That after the third bi-monthly payment of the present fina.ucial year, the rate of 4MI per unit for the first 100 units per month be reduced by Ml per unit to 4d; the rates for further units used to he as at present—viz., for the second 100 units 3d pdr unit, all over 200 units per month 2d per unit.
