MINISTER ADVOCATES MORE UNIFIED CONTROL.
'Speaking at the opening of the Education Boards conference in Wellington on Tuesday, the Hon. A. At more, Minister of Education, said Ire was satisfied the Board system was essential in the best, interests of the Dominion, but be was also satisfied that there was a 'multiplicity of (Boards and his opinion was that, unified control would be one of the finest reforms that could be brought, about. It would not .mean whittling away the powers of ‘any Hoard,'but rather would tend to strengthen the powers of the authorities in the various educational districts. He repeated his frequent, references to studying the needs of the primary industries and said he hoped to have the eo-operation of the Boards in shaping a. now educational policy for the Dominion.
