Sunday was the 62nd birthday of Queen Mary. Miss Patchett has been .appointed relieving- teacher at the local District High School and took up her duties yesterday. The friends of Mr. and Mrs. F. Lueinsky, of Avenue Road, will regret to learn of the death of their infant son which occurred early this morning. Mr. A. W. Stevenson and family are leaving Foxton to take up their residence in Wellington, where Mr. Stevenson has accepted a position in the timber industry. Mr. Stevenson lias taken a live interest in all branches of sport 'and was superintendent jof the Fire Brigade and a member of the local School Committee, while Mi’s, and Mss Stevenson have been actively 'connected with local social institutions. The family Avill be missed in the Mr. J. McOoll, who has been in business in Foxton for the past seventeen years, ,was recently selected. froim a large number, of applicants by the Taum'aranui Borough Council as an inspector of waterworks etc., and has now entered upon his duties. During his residence in Foxton Mr. MdColl served on the Borough Council and was an enthusiastic member of the Bowling Club. Mr. Mb,Coll was also a been supporter of Association football and president of the club. Their many friends will wish ,Mr. and Mrs. .i nd Miss McOoll prosperity in their new home.
