LUNCH CLUB

The monthly imeeting of the Foxton Lunch Club was held in Whyte’s Hotel to-dav, jvhen Mr. J. K. Hornblow presided. Also present were Messrs D. Ogilvy, 11. E. Garfbett, R. J. Thompson, J. Newton, W. E. Bullard, S. H. Poole, W. Walton, W. 11. Nicholas, J. Murray, W. Trueman, M. E. Perrean, F. C. Raikes, Giblett, G. Smith, R. Parkes, C. M. Hewett, D. Christie, H. Reid, A. E. Scott, and the secretary (Mr. I. Corn). An apology was received from Mr. J. Martin. The speaker was Mr. I. Corn, who gave an interesting address on Vi famines (a full report of which will appear in onlr nexl issue). At the conclusion of his address (lie speaker was accorded a vote of thanks for his interesting and instructive talk on the motion of Messrs W. Trueman and W. H. Nicholas. Messrs 11. Hutchins and R. Sorbie were elected new members of the Club.
