TUNNEY WILL FIGHT AGAIN
W|HAT JACK DEMPSEY SAYS “CAN LICK HIM ANY DAY.” George Getz, Chicago sportsman, is -trying hard to induce Jack Ddmpsey to fight just once more in the Windy City. He has secured the promise of the Manassa Mauler that if he fights again it will he in Chicago. It can he put down in the little hook that Dempsey is not going to fight again. Hi an exclusive interview with a representative of “-Colly er’s Eye,” the former champion made known his position in -the following language: “I iguess that I can sock just as hard as ever, ibut one has to get on top of his opponent in order to slip o ver a (knockout punch. My legs have gone back on me. There is no use in my trying to kid myself that I can fight as well as a 'few years hack. “The fact that I cannot travel fast gives an opponent quite an edge. The only possible chance for inio to ever step into the ring again would be for an opportunty to battle Tunney. I don’t think Tunney is a real champion. As slow as I am, I think I can whip him, because he lacks a punch.” Dempsey thinks that Tunney null fight again. He believes that when Tunney’s money runs out he . will announce he is going to fight again. “Tunney’s wife is rich, but he has not salted away as much as people believe. He has also spent quite a ibit travelling around. I don’t think that Tunney will fancy the idea of -being accused of accepting -money from his wife. And if he is willing to fight again, I will go into active training. “Personally, I don’t like Tunney or his methods. That is one reason why I would like to fight him, but the main reason is because I am sincere in the belief that I can lick him any day in the week.”
