A clever girl of mystery, who brings two society thieves to justice, is the tale told by “Lady Raffles,” the Columbia-Master Picture to be shown at the Town Hall this evening. The cast is headed by Estelle Taylor and action is swift, resorting to strategy and clever ruses which offer strong audience appeal. A pretty love interest is interwoven in the plot, with here and there a touch of pathos to heighten the dramatic effect. The plot revolves around a diamond necklace and the daring attempts of a pair of society thieves to secure it and place the blame on Lady Raffles. The latter, more clever than the pair, is always three leaps ahead of them and in the end completely turns the tables. With “Hate,” comedy, a novelty and latest News. Usual prices. “The Nears Parade,” will be screened at the Town Hall on Monday evening. This exciting comedy-dra-ma has Nick Stuart and Sally Phipps in the feature roles. It depicts the adventures of a newsreel cameraman and the death-defying chances he must take in obtaining “shots.” Usual prices.
