NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW 1929.

The month of June each year marks a very important event in the Dairy industry of the Dominion, when the National Dairy. Show ;is staged at Palmerston N. For ’27 years now .'the Show has been the centre of attraction, not only for dairymen, but for the general public, who look to see the rapid progress that has been made in the industry from year to year. A remarkable feature of the exhibition is the large number of butter and cheese entries of'a vey high standard received from all over New Zealand. The'fact that they are of a high standard is borne out, riot only by the grading marks received in New Zealand, but also by the value placed on the articles When th'ey reach the Home Markets, whete there is insistent demand for them at a high price. We in New Zealand do npt often have the opportunity, of seeing these goods but from 18th to 22nd June next, we shall be given that opportunity and we shall tie able to judge thehi by our standards. In addition to the daily produce on jshow there will be also all the latest machinery and implements connected with the industry. In conjunction with the National' Dairy Show will be staged the annual fixture of the Manawaitu Poultry Association, and this is always a feature of the Winter Show. The entertainment portion of the week’s programme is a very comprehensive one, taking in football of the highest standard, ring competitions, arid evening amusements in the new entertainment Wall.
