FEBRUARY WORKING. The amount of gas manufactured during the month of February was 312,200 ft., which, with the amount in the holder on February Ist., 17,000 ft., made a total of 329,200 ft. During the month 259,700 ft. was used by iconsumers, 20,000 ft. at the wortes and there was l’7,oooft. in the holder on February 28th, making a total of 296,700 ft. accounted for and leaving 32,500 ft., representing’ 9.B.per cent., unaccounted for. Twenty-eight’tons of coal were carbonised, yielding 11,210 c.ft. of gas lo the ton and producing 3 tons of coke. . . The receipts for the month totalled £277 18/11 and were made up as follows: —Gas sales /lighting) £2l l/-„ heat and power £lO6 10/5, coke sales £2B/12/4, tar sales £B3 8/-, weighing £2, services and fittings! £34 2/2, miscellaneous"£2 5/-. The • expenditure for the month totalled £222 14/4 and was made up as follows? —'Coal £7B 12/8, salaries and wages £SO 14/-, services and fittings £1 9/3, meters £lO 13/2, engine repairs 7/6, general repairs 17/9, printing and advertising £6 10/-, cartage and freight 5/10, sundries £9 16/11, Interest and Sinking Fund £63 7/3.
