A JAM AFTERNOON.

A pleasant afternoon was spent on, Tuesday at 'the home of Mrs. A. T. Nilhols, Oroua Downs. The guest off c the afternoon was Mrs. Bain, matron of All Saints’ Children’s Home, Foxton, who had been invited to receive the jam brought by the ladies of Oroua Downs. A 1 dainty tea was! served, and the ladies were interested to hear of the success of the Home. A cake Competition was won by Miss Burling, who was also the lucky one in a guessing competition. The matron left with 971bs of jalm, also dripping, tomatoes, and carrots.
