BOWLING

The annual Easier Tournament, arranged by ManawUtu Centre will commence at Palmerston North tomorrow. One rink from Foxton Club, consisting of Heyes, John Ross, Christie and Thomson) will take part.

A comjmenceinent of the final game in the Barr Gups singles contest was made yesterday between Heppner and Mattar (s) v. Pen-can and Thomson (s), but rain stopped play at the eleventh head, when Mattar had an advantage of two points.

Arrangements have ibeen made to play a ’series of games separately at Shannon, Levin and Foxton, on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, and Easter Mnod'ay. Play will consist of rinlks, if sufficient numbers, if not a pairs tourney will be held. Play will cojmmence at 9 a.m.; the first of t'he series to take place at Shannon on Friday, at Levin on Saturday, and at Foxton on Monday.
