FOOTBALL
The annual meeting of the Wanderers’ Football Club was held in Levin on Monday evening. There was an attendance of about 30 members, and Mr. Lin M]cDonald presided. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron: Mjr. Winiata Potaka; president: Mr. H. Jacob; secretary: Mr. J. Oasey; assistant secretary: Mr. R. Watt; treasurer, Mr. W. Wlilkinson; management committee : Messrs D. Tatana, N. Ryder, A. Bond, E. M. Ryder, J. W. Rammer, T. Winiata, Les McDonald, W. Ash and N. K. McDonnell; selectors: I). Tatana, Les McDonald, and H. Jacob; delegates to District Council : Messrs E. M. Ryder, Les. McDonald, L. Ingram, R. Watt, H. Jacob and W. Wilkinson. It. was resolved that the membership fee be raised from 7/6 to 15/-, and that it include the right to a jersey and pair of stockings and to insurance under the Council, for which the fee was formerly 2/6. It was made a condition that each player should be responsible for the laundering and care of his jersey and stockings.
