LOCAL RACEHORSE SOLD.

MISS PAT GOES TO AUSTRALIA. Miss Pat, the well-known local racehorse belonging to Mr. F. J. 'Carmont, of Johnston Street, Foxton, has changed hands having been purchased by Mjr. Sid Jones, of Sydney. •Mr. Carmont has been in possession of Miss Pat (by Acre —Sartovna) since she was fifteen months old and has been responsible for the training of this well-known sprinter. The purchase price paid for Miss Pat was 400 guineas. . Mr. Carmont anticipates that Miss Pat will do well in Australia. The horse was shipped on the Ulimaroa for Sydney at Wellington yesterday.
